New Year/ Lent Resolutions
Happy New Year from two months in!
And with a new year naturally comes some life changes. I'm not a resolution setting type of person, but I am a reasonable person in the sense that I don't mind making changes in my life, not just at the beginning of the year. With this in mind, I've decided theres a few changes i'm gonna make some changes in my life starting with my health.
For the last two months, I've been quite successful in Meditating at least 4 times a week, working out at least three times a week to start, and being more conscious of my daily steps and the foods I eat.
As of late with Lent starting, I've decided to make more changes in my life. The first choice was to give up my all time favorite meal, snack, everything all in one, BREAD.
Fellow bread lovers join me in worshipping what is honestly one of the greatest creations of all time, the doughy, spongy soft, loaf of warmth.
And here's a short article on the love of bread, I could totally relate to!
The second thing I gave up which will more than likely become a permanent staple is cusisng and using profane language. About three months ago my stress levels reached their peak and I began cursing. And not the funny haha, ooh she just cursed; but almost every other sentence contained a cuss word even when it wasn't necessary, but when is cussing ver really necessary? It never is.
And lastly, I decided to resort back to my pescatarian diet I had previously practiced for almost 5 years, and soon after adjusting, I would transition to a vegan life style.
With all theses changes, I began journaling more just as a way to check in with myself and keep myself accountable.
My family aren't aware of the changes I make in my life, but they aren't aware of the color of my hair, if i still wear glasses, of when's the last time i had a day off so it's no big deal to me that my family isn't catholic and I'm probably the only person participating this year.
